Hello! I missed 2 days and this activity of the Summer Learning Journey as I was at my Nana's house. I will be posting all of the rest of week two activities today. This is my maths slideshow about the colossal squid.
Well done for completing another Summer Learning Journey activity, 'The Midnight Zone', and for solving this maths problem. I see that, like your two sisters, you've all come up with the same results for your maths problem in that you've taken the Colossal Squid to be 495kg. The activity actually states that the Colossal Squid that they're moving at Te Papa is 500kg— but this is a very small problem as you've each managed to work out how many kids and how many adults it would take to move a 495kg Colossal Squid. I see you've done 18 x 25 = 450 and 3 x 15 = 45 so 450 + 45 = 495kg. I like how you've kept the question in each one of your slides, too, well done! Would you say that you enjoy maths solving problems?
