It's awesome that these people groups are being recognised more and more these days and for both others and themselves, learning about there cultures and traditions is really important to keep their identity alive.
I know a bit about the Maya people from history when the Spanish first came into contact with them before there were any Europeans in the american continents. It's really cool to know that they are still a group of people in the modern day. Did you find this activity interesting?
