Story of The Week

The Colour of Magic

A radiant sun rose above the surface of the Earth, with its entities warped in the golden lights of the sun.

The yellow dwarfs warmth melted the horizon with its heat.

It smouldered the mortals like an oven and you could see the bright glint

that beamed right into people's eyes.

Accompanied by the sun were ruffling clouds as white as snow.   Like the sky, her

surroundings were beautifully majestic!

The vibrant prickly grass fought with the wind, rocking back and forth.

Flowers dangled on little branches and their colours gracefully blended with the sun’s ombre.

Their bloom was admirable and the sweet ravishing smell graced the atmosphere.

Gardens were filled with the fragrance of flowers and the breeze tickled the soft petals.

Trees, a beauty whose spirit creates kisses with the

wind with their moving leaves, thousands of green hues and the soft whispering in the wind.

The brown oak towers casted immense shadows motioning with the wind.

Through the gale blow, were alluring butterflies who caught many eyes with their elegant colours.

It was like a rainbow had come into life and was split into sparkles.

They were flowers of the wind , dancing in whirls of colours, born to fly

and to bring beauty into the warming summer.

Their sleek muscles underneath their brown limber coats

and their long flowing mane that unfurls and whips as the wind makes contact with the hair.

As their hooves trot on the grassy field, their beige eyes whipped through the field

while their bold bodies assembled on the meadow.

The girl felt like all there was for her was pleasure and she didn’t mind.  A smile

plastered on her face while the feeling of joy overtook her mind, dancing with thoughts of euphoria.

Every emotion she had was fleeting, they elevated her spirit giving way to every new feeling that came by.

Luna embraced the atmosphere, she kissed the Earth like  it was her own world.

Her happiness was something no other could compare to, she wanted to stay on the field forever.

Whatever day, season, time, year, month and second it’ll be,  she’ll follow.

The Pink Panther Poem

Pink

A pink aura has the spirit of glitter

Its vibrant shades has an ombre of a mix of flowers and gossip

The color has a sweet taste like candy floss

Its bright colours is like the ambience of corals

Pink has the atmosphere as the world of makeup and femine things!

Pink feels like the silk touch that a pillow has

The beautiful flavour of pink is like strawberry ice cream

Pink sounds like a peaceful song on the radio

Pink looks like the tone of a light tulip

Story of the Week

  Story of the Week

Plan :

A girl walking in the city

Name : Sena

Mood : Positive

Atmosphere : Sunny Day

Start Writing Here :

Sena, a small female sauntering down the city pavements while the towers toppled over her like great giants.   The monstrous skyscrapers bypassed the girl as her small steps gradually infused with enjoyment and excitement, and immediately ended with the result of her joyfully skipping.  The sky was pervaded with ruffling clouds that formed into significant shapes, more than you could ever think of! A mix of rich scents smothered in the air while an abundance of colours were seen everywhere her eyes laid.   Chatter drowned beneath the lofty roofs and almost every second, countless people wandered the place with smiles plastered onto their faces.  Senas lustreless hair curled in the ambience of the strong breeze as her hands were gripped to her shopping bags.

Feedback: It was really good  and long  but also added a lot of words I don't  understand.

My Passion Letter

Dear Body Positivity

You are something I fully support you are something I can truly rely on to make me feel better

You've changed things for the better and never failed to put a smile on my face

I love your message that you share

I believe you when you say

" Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes "

You emphasize the self-esteem I have

And you give everyone the perception to see their Beauty

You value others no matter how they look

 And you embrace their flaws

You remind others that their actions to find the success

Not a number on a scale

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Talofa Lava Everyone!

Today for writing, we had to write a letter to our passion.  We were writing to our passion as if it was a human.  I chose to write to Body Positivity

Preach the Speech

Are Heroes Ordinary People

Imagine two thieves walking past a shop and they were going to rob it, Would you stand there or would you do something ? Well T, a local hero stepped up and stopped the robbery. T had courage and strength and used it to tackle down the robbers, he risked his life and made a huge difference! Without T, imagine what would have happened ? Things could’ve been different and if the robbery were successful, a store would be bankrupt and so would the manager. He also displayed bravery , intelligence and determination! Raise your hands if you think he is a hero ( Wait ) You’re right, he is a hero! He played a big part in being a hero and that is not ordinary!

Heroes are NOT ordinary! Heroes define our ideal qualities and they influence others to always be the best of their person. They encourage us to possess important values like integrity, selflessness, hope and success. This is not being ordinary. Not only are they role models but they give you assistance and comfort. A hero prefers others kindness, patience, consideration and many more without expecting anything in return. This shows that, as I said, Heroes are NOT ordinary. They impact young minds and inspire others to elevate them for the better. They make sacrifices and do good deeds for anyone. A hero will find many ways to help other people and no matter what, they’ll fight for what's right. This shows that heroes are not ordinary people, instead they are noble leaders that make positive changes.

As I said, they own important values! Heroes have bravery, conviction, courage, determination, honesty, strength and many more! These traits are what makes a hero. People who demonstrate these qualities are NOT ordinary! These traits create a positive impact on others and it changes things for good. Heroes endeavour to make a difference in other people's lives and that’s what makes them so amazing.

A hero takes action to help others at a considerable risk to themselves, focusing on others lives. They make heroic sacrifices regardless of death or harm. For example, if a soldier wanted to be a hero, they must sacrifice their family, their glory and sometimes their life. And your friend who helped you through your struggle, they made a sacrifice to be there for you. Their actions have a great effect on your mental being because it improves your mind with how it thinks and feels.

Heroes fight for a good cause and they calm people's fears, nourishing their hopes and dreams. They fight to make a difference and they help to make people's lives better. They keep their promises and they believe in what’s right! Heroes stand up to lead others to the right path and help them to see through their will to succeed. They provide an understanding of how they gained their talents/strengths and this encourages others to maybe be like them or even better! That is not ordinary! Hopefully I have convinced you with my story that Heroes are not ordinary, Thank you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kia Ora Everyone! This is my speech that displays my opinion on
the question
" Are Heroes Ordinary People "
My opinion is, Heroes are NOT ordinary  and this
story explains why

This is a Venn Diagram of two heroes, Sir Edmund Hillary

similarities between the pair.

Survivor Of A Natural Disaster ( Not Completed )

Story I chose : Elena survived Haima in a shopping mall

Resting on the palms of my hand was shopping bags full of clothes and new items for my daughters, Elaine and her younger sister.  We were only walking along the marble pathway that stood bypassing a number of shops when a splatter of rain had scourged the glass windows.  We thought of it as a small hitch in the weather so we continued to saunter the mall.

But suddenly, the rain had heightened and a dull patch in the clouds took over the horizon bestowing a dark aurora. This came in a hurry and it felt eerie.  It had only become an issue when 4 boughs had thrashed against an immense stained glass pane, shattering the window into pieces.  The shards of glass plummeted down to the ground and immediately groups of people had bolted from the area screaming.   I tilted my head so I could look out the window and it was atrocious!

Roofs were teared from houses, trees rapidly rustled their leaves almost coming off from their roots and little puddles of water splattered everywhere but they were blocked from view from a grey haze that stirred briskly around the area.  The concrete was flooding with water and a cold breeze moved hastily.  The wind fought with the rain creating great domination and destruction.  The mall had amassed more damage within 3 minutes as half the ceiling came crumbling down with the lights flickering and more people had grown aware of the tragedy.  I leaned against the pole from under the table protecting myself and my kids from any harm.  The breeze ran up my arms and my prickly hair stood like a grassy field meeting with a scope of goosebumps.   Many trees were being demolished as their limbs strained from the onslaught of the typhoon.  I heard screams everywhere and faces of terror were laid on every single person.

I’ve survived many typhoons before but not like this, this typhoon was hysterical and I’ve never  seen one like this before.   Every single moment of this tragedy was horrifying, I constantly fidgeted and my whole body was shivering with fear.   Fear took over me as I tried to think of what to do, I couldn’t comprehend what was happening as the thought of death was locked in my self-conscious like a sore toe.

“ Look out! “ a voice shouted, I hurriedly shuffled out from under the table, holding tightly to my daughters and scampered under a phone case stall.  More of the ceiling had toppled over the table crushing deeply into the shallow ground and releasing a small thud that shook part of the mall.   But then, almost everything came crashing down at once and there was no way we could stay in the mall, so with our hands atop of our head, we ran scattering in zig zags as the building came crumbling down.

Through a door that stood ajar, I dashed out into the scope where the typhoon stayed destroying the place.  I tried to stand in place but the wind was too strong, it had me almost tripping over with the pace of it.   Elanine gasped “ Look.. “ with a croaky voice indicating her finger to another area.  I looked to see my house had been torn apart.  It was devastating, there was only so little of it that it looked like an old dilapidated ruin.  There were jagged edges, the bricks were smashed into small pieces and the roof was forcibly ripped off, slumping on the very tips of what was left of the house.  The worry of a new house was quickly erased from my mind from a strong tug of the wind.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kia Ora Everyone! This is a story I wrote
from Elena's perspective in the typhoon. Elena was one of the
survivors in the Haima Tpyhoon 2016. This is not
completed but it is something I've was able to
do during Lockdown

Cops Should Hold Guns

Kia Ora!
This is my augmentation on " Cops Should Hold Guns"
I do think cops should hold guns but ONLY use it in special
circumstances.  I honestly think that
violence goes both ways and it won't stop
unless the police uses the guns appropriately.  If they do this, they would
be able to protect themselves and also not harm others.

My Great Realisation

Kia Ora Everyone!
This PDF is My Great Realisation.  What does this mean ? After we came back to school,
my teacher, Nikita played a video about COVID-19 and the changes
it made to the world.  It explains HINDSIGHT IS 2020, we discussed what this meant
and had different opinions on lockdown.  For this, we had to think about
a great realisation we realised during Lockdown, this was my Great Realisation.
